Village Halloween Gathering
On Beggar's night, be sure to stop by the circle on West Riverglen for a hot dog and apple cider. Our Beggar's night is usually held the same night as in Worthington. If you would like to help grill and/or serve, please contact someone on the Village Council.
Riverlea Coffee Klatch

Function: noun
Etymology: German Klatsch gossip
Date: 1941
: a gathering characterized usually by informal conversation
: an informal group that gathers more or less frequently, especially for

Riverlea's Coffee Klatch is not a formal organization. We usually gather at Scottie MacBeans (in downtown Worthington, Ohio), although lately we moved to La Chatelaine, on Saturday mornings for coffee, conversation and laughs. Our 'members' consist of some of Riverlea's finest citizens as well as friends from other locations.
You are welcome to join us for laughs and to meet more of your neighbors.
Celebrating Memorial Day, July 4th, and Veterans' Day
Riverlea residents are proud to be American citizens. They show their pride by displaying an American flag in their front yard on major American holidays such as Memorial Day, July 4th, and Veterans' Day.
But who puts the flags there?
The person who originated the flag program is Diane Hitt, a long-time Riverlea resident. Diane initiated the program of placing the flags in the front yards by getting approval from Council to purchase the flags about three years ago. Since then, she has continued distributing and picking up the flags. She has received assistance, over the years, from Sue White, Dan McIntyre, Rod Tettenhorst, Tom VanCleef, Mike and Jody Jones, Carolyn and Dan Owens and many others. If you would like to help out some time, please contact Diane, who is always looking for volunteers.
Team Riverlea

Team Riverlea is a 'bicycle
group.' They meet, usually once a week during the spring-summer-fall season
for a ride of approximately 30-50 miles. Usually the goal of the ride is breakfast! They train to go together on the
Tour of the Scioto River Valley (T O S R V) ride in the Spring and on the Team Riverlea Fall Challenge in the Fall.
What do you need to know to be a Team Riverlea rider? Less than you'd
expect - 98% of it can be captured in three words - "just show up". Some
of the other 2% is described on the Team Riverlea Web site, but mostly it's just getting out on the road and becoming comfortably familiar with north central rural Ohio.
Riverlea Bible Study
A small group of people in Riverlea that wanted an opportunity to study the Bible with neighbors got together and created the Riverlea Bible study group. They usually meet once a month on the third Wednesday at one of the members homes. If you are interested in joining them for serious study, please contact Riverlea residents Lois Carter or Ann Bennett.
